Hosts the SDG 16 Innovation Challenge Lagos

Oando played host to the SDG 16 Innovation Challenge, Lagos; the three-day event organized by Accountability Lab, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), in partnership with Oando and the Canadian Government brought together twenty (20) young, vibrant, social entrepreneurs from different facets to pitch their ideas (solutions) on ways the country can work towards achieving SDG 16 (Sustainable Development Goal) which promotes peace, justice, and strong institutions.

The annual competition supports young men and women between the ages of 15 and 35 to develop ideas, build skills and connect with others working towards a shared goal of strengthening accountability, the rule of law and access to justice for Nigerians.

In the Lagos edition, the finalists had the opportunity to hear from Ms. Ayotola Jagun, Chief Compliance Officer & Company Secretary and Ms. Wandoo IHYEMBE-HASSAN, Asset Manager who spoke on ‘The Concept of Leadership’ and ‘Social Innovation’ respectively.

After receiving practical training on project management, how to build sustainable businesses, and slugging it out in a final pitch session, Shekinah Odunsi emerged winner, with eskişehir escort
