Oando Exploration and Production (OEPL) is the exploration and production subsidiary of Oando PLC with the vision of being “The leading indigenous upstream Oil & Gas Company in Africa.
Since its incorporation in 2003, OEPL has built a vast portfolio of oil and gas assets in selected African basins and acts as both operator and partner to Nigerian and Multinational companies.
Our mission is to deliver sustainable value to stakeholders by continually growing reserves through the exploration, development and acquisition of Oil and Gas resources. Our growth has continued unabated throughout the global financial crisis due to the successful management and production of oil and gas reserves. We actively contribute to the future and development of the communities in which we operate by ensuring that through our robust Environmental Health and Safety Management System operations are carried out in a safe, environmentally friendly and socially responsible manner.
Our employees are seasoned professionals who joined the company from reputable international oil and gas producing companies in Nigeria and overseas as well as talented young individuals whom the company has put on aggressive and accelerated training and exposure programs.
As we position ourselves at the pinnacle of the Nigerian upstream Oil and Gas business, we have continued to pursue further investments in selected African Oil and gas producing basins which meet our strategic, financial and growth criteria. We have invested heavily in the acquisition and evaluation of our current portfolio of assets, and remain committed to spending a further $500 million on the exploration and development of other assets in the short to medium term.
Our future is secure. With the proposed changes to the Nigerian Oil & Gas Regulatory framework namely the Petroleum Industry and Local Content Bills coupled with our international experience and ‘Nigerian Content’, we have become the partner of choice for companies seeking to enter or remain relevant in the Nigerian oil and gas industry. We continue to source for oil and gas assets either as an operator or in partnership with reputable Nigerian and Multinational companies, whilst actively chasing farm-in opportunities with local operators in selected African regions.
