Chief Executive Officer Oando Mining & Infrastructure

Ayo Ajose-Adeogun is the Chief Executive Officer, Oando Mining & Infrastructure. In this dynamic role, Ayo oversees a substantial portfolio of mineral licenses, encompassing several lithium, five bitumen, and a prospective gold license. Demonstrating his effective leadership, the team successfully drilled 2,000 meters in Ogun State under a bitumen license in 2023. Presently, Ayo is spearheading the initiation of community work in Kwara State, a vital step preceding the geo-mapping activities for lithium.

With two decades of experience within the Group, Ayo joined OOH in 2004 as SVP Corporate Development, before transitioning to Oando PLC in November of the same year. His extensive tenure has equipped him with a profound understanding of the Oando business, through senior roles in sales and leadership in Oando Marketing (now OVH Energy), asset development in the downstream sector, and system and process optimization across the Group’s supply chain.

Ayo has been instrumental in various transformational projects and initiatives at Oando PLC. His contributions include the restructuring of Oando Marketing, refurbishment of the Oando Energy Services Passion Rig, construction of the Apapa Island Jetty, and numerous process improvements in Procurement and Information Technology & Services.

In addition to his extensive professional experience, Ayo holds a Master of Engineering (M.Eng) from Imperial College, an MBA from the London Business School, and is a Chartered Engineer (C.Eng). He is also a member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (MIChemE).
