Overview

WORLD AIDS DAY 2009 Programme for Employees (Respect. Protect)
CSR is integrated into every one of our formal business practices in the form of good corporate governance, adding value through our goods and services and making sustainable social investments in order to develop our host communities.
Whilst  adhering to proper business practices, Oando also carefully considers the impact of our decisions and activities on our internal and external stakeholders as well as the environment.
We have established initiatives in the following areas to ensure that we promote CSR
Employees: Oando does not discriminate in its hiring process. We consider all racial and ethnic groups to be equal, advancement and empowerment at Oando are based on merit and experience alone.
Our EHSQ department is in place to ensure the health and safety of all employees in all our offices and terminals.
Environment: In its bid to strengthen our downstream activities and build up our upstream activities, Oando is focused on developing sustainable strategies for environmental protection.
Host Communities: Oando is dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of people that reside in the communities where we operate, through our community development projects. We treat the host communities as an extension of our business in terms of needs and aspirations; this gives the  local community a sense of belonging as stakeholders in our business and operations.
Our major programmes are geared towards youth, social and economic empowerment, with a special focus on improving the quality of basic education in Nigeria. We have consistently built a culture of caring and innovated numerous avenues for giving back to society, including;
- Adopt-A-School Programme
- Sponsorships
- Scholarships
- Staff Donations
- Community Development Projects
