The Corporate Communications Unit supports the Group and entities in developing, deploying and managing all internal and external communications to create a strong brand identity and maintain brand equity. The unit achieves this through the following activities:
Developing and executing media relations strategy to generate news coverage that reflects the company’s brand mission, vision and values. Monitoring and management of media coverage of Oando activities; intelligence gathering and regular media evaluation.
The unit plans and prepares all collateral for media briefings and guides Oando spokespersons on how to effectively engage the media.
Public Relations, Issues / Reputation Management
Through the use of multiple channels including but not limited to sponsorship, events, speaking opportunities evolving business story and build relationships with key external stakeholders such as customers and shareholders.
For issues / reputation management the unit defines the messaging strategy, the communication mediums, the most suitable business spokesperson and provides all the necessary support to achieve results that will positively build brand equity.
Corporate Communications works closely with internal stakeholders to ensure up-to-date corporate information included in all external facing collateral including but not limited to company brochure, fact sheet and presentations.
Marketing and Advertising Communications
Promoting the Group’s mission, vision and corporate actions through a mix of below and above the line marketing and advertising communications.
Ensuring the internal audience of Oando employees are consistently updated on a variety of internal platforms on corporate actions and future plans; in the process making them the organisations brand ambassadors.

Ensuring the digital face of the organisation is up to date and engaging.
