
Temitayo Ogunbanjo
Head, OperationsMr. Temitayo Ogunbanjo is Head, Operations for Oando Marketing Limited. He assumed this position in July 2009.
Prior to taking up this role, Temitayo worked within Avante Capital Partners, the corporate finance arm of Ocean & Oil Holdings with key focus on energy & infrastructure development sectors. Whilst at Avante, he specialized in asset & corporate acquisitions as well as commercial and economic evaluations for several infrastructure development projects. Some of his involvements include transaction lead in the $42 million acquisition of Shell rigs by Oando, transaction support in the $75 million corporate acquisition (via separate debt & equity transactions) of a mid-cap E&P company listed on the AIM exchange, and transaction support in the commercial evaluation/development of Independent Power Projects in Kaduna and Abuja.
Temitayo also worked briefly in Ocean & Oil Investments, the business advisory arm of Ocean & Oil Holdings, providing business diagnostics and corporate development support to all the subsidiaries of Oando Plc as part of the Oando-Ocean & Oil Management Service and Technical Service Agreements.
Prior to Ocean & Oil Holdings, Temitayo worked for 4 years as a manager within the Group Office of Oando Plc, initially as Executive Assistant to the Deputy Group CEO where he carried out extensive research, conceptualization and justification for key business initiatives and, subsequently, as Special Projects Manager where he was Project manager for the development of a $140 million petroleum products pipeline and a $70 million petroleum products terminal. During this period, Temitayo also prepared investment cases and financial forecasts for proposed transactions and was involved in carrying out business performance reviews and preparing operating plans for the subsidiaries of Oando Plc.
Temitayo also worked previously within the asset management divisions of Vetiva Capital Management (VCM) and Asset and Resource Management (ARM), and within finance operations in Commercial Bank Credit Lyonnais Nigeria.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, an MBA from Cardiff Business School Wales, and is a certified PRINCE II project manager. He has also attended several Euromoney finance training courses and Project Finance courses both locally and internationally.
