The Federal Government of Nigeria, through the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC), owns and operates four refineries presently. Of these, two are held by the Port Harcourt Refinery Company (PHRC); one is held by the Warri Refinery and Petrochemical Company (WRPC); and one is held by the Kaduna Refinery and Petrochemical Company (KRPC).

The Storage and Pipeline Distribution Network
The Federal Government of Nigeria, through the Petroleum Products and Marketing Company (PPMC), an NNPC subsidiary, controls the supply and distribution of petroleum products across the country. PPMC owns and operates the most extensive petroleum products distribution network in Africa, comprising several import terminals, 5 000 km of pipelines, 24 pumping stations and 23 depots. |
