About Oando Aviation

Oando Plc commenced its Aviation Fuel business in November 1993 and was duly accredited soon afterwards, having met all the required local and international standards for accreditation.

Chief among these include accreditations from the International Air Transport Authority (IATA) and the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO). Over the years, Oando has established itself as the Nigerian Aviation Sector’s number one marketer of choice for the local and international airlines.

The Aviation Unit of Oando Plc offers a wide range of products and services to its ever expanding clientele base of both local and international passenger and cargo airline customers at the various airports in which we operate.

Products

At Oando, we take pride in our renowned ability to stock and supply our airline customers with competitively priced high quality on-spec Aviation Turbine Kerosene (ATK), otherwise known as Jet A1, with the parameter specifications that meet the requirements in the current ASTM Standards, IATA Guidelines for Joint Fueling System Checklist latest issue for Jet A-

We essentially source our ATK parcels from both the local and international markets, which are delivered via the Apapa

Lagos jetty pipeline directly into our 8,114 metric tons (about 10 million litres) capacity primary storage facilities of dedicated ATK jumbo buffer stock reserve dump located within our Apapa general operational terminals I and II.

Services

At Oando, we offer a variety of refuelling and defuelling services individually tailored to suit the specific needs of the aircraft type on our respective airline customers’ fleet. These include both under-wing and over-wing refuelling services specifically suited for large and small aircraft respectively. The services are provided via Oando’s secondary storage depot facilities strategically located within three of Nigeria’s busiest international airports as follows:

Our ultra-modern 1 million litre capacity Ikeja Aviation depot located within the vicinity of the nation’s gateway, the Murtala Muhammed Airport Ikeja, Lagos;
The 1.7 million litre capacity Abuja Aviation depot located within the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, commissioned in June 2005, and;
Our 700,000 litres share of the 2.8 million litre capacity Joint Aviation Facility (JAF) located within the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano, which we secured by virtue of our acquisition and subsequent merger with an erstwhile member of the JAF consortium, Agip Nigeria Plc.
