Folami Abubakar ED, Finance

Mr. Folami Abubakar is the Chief Finance Officer of Oando Plc (Marketing Division). He assumed this position in July 2005.

Prior to this position, he was the Finance Controller of Oando Marketing Limited and prior to this the Divisional Finance Controller & Assistant Head, Internal Audit for John Holt Plc. He resumed in Oando February 2004.

Before joining John Holt in November 2001 he was managing partner of Sabitu Folami & Co and an Associate at Hamzat Subair, Folami & Co Chartered Accountants.

He worked for over four years at Javed & Co Chartered Accountants where he qualified as an accountant and joined TSB Bank Plc (now LloydsTSB) as Financial/Management Accountant in Birmingham before returning to Nigeria to join Hamzat Subair Folami & Co.

Folami has twenty years post-graduation work experience with skills in financial reporting & planning, budgeting & forecasting, financing, taxation, investigations, systems implementation among others.

He holds B.A honors in Accountancy from University of Essex, Colchester, England.
He is a Fellow member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and an Associate of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.
