About us
Oando Exploration and Production Limited (OEPL) is the Lagos-based exploration and production subsidiary of Oando Plc, which has built a portfolio of oil and gas assets in selected African basins since 2003.
In 2003, a sister company, Oando Production and Development Company (OPDC), was awarded a marginal field (Obodeti-Obodugwa OML 56) with a 45% non-operating interest in the field.
In the 2005 Nigerian Bid Round, OEPL via Oando was awarded OPL-278 and remain the operator of this acreage. In the same year OEPL was awarded participating interest in OPL -282 as the Local Content Vehicle and this acreage has NAOC (AGIP) as its operator
In 2007 OEPL was awarded over 1600 sq Km acreage (OPL 236) located at the fringe of the Niger Delta.
We continue to source for oil and gas assets either as an operator or in partnership with reputable Nigerian and Multinational companies. We are actively chasing farm-in opportunities with local operators in selected African region.
We enjoy both worlds of ‘International Experience’ and ‘Nigerian Content’ and as such we are better positioned to operate or partner with operator in the Niger Delta.
To date, Oando has spent in excess of $36 million USD in the acquisition and evaluation of its assets and we are committed to spending more than $100 million USD in the Exploration/Appraisal of some of our assets in the next few years.
