Oando Employs New Hands

As part of it commitment to the delivery of “Service Excellence” to it’s customers and in pursuant of it’s corporate mission of ‘providing quality products and services, delivered by a skilled and highly motivated workforce...’, Oando Plc. has engaged the services of a number of high-level personnel to take up key positions in the organization. These individuals include:

• Mr Ayo Ajose-Adeogun, a Strategist with over 10 years experience in business strategy development and IT management. Ayo was a member of the Corporate Development Team from Ocean & Oil Holdings that worked on the business execution and process improvement project carried out in Oando Plc. earlier on this year. He recently worked as the Business Strategy Development and IT Manager at Cadbury Nigeria Plc. In this role, he was responsible for driving value-based management throughout the organisation. Prior to this, he worked at Marakon Associates and as an independent consultant in the UK, focusing on strategy, IT and brand management issues for large, complex organizations. Ayo also has work experiences garnered from Wheel (new media consulting) and John Brown Engineering & Construction (Chartered Chemical Engineer, oil & gas). He is the new Chief Marketing Officer, Commercial for Oando.

• Miss Chinwe Ugo is a thoroughbred professional with extensive experience and skills in auditing and consulting as well as general management. Chinwe has a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from IESE Business School, University of Navarra, Barcelona Spain (through the Lagos Business School). Her last employment was with the United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, where she worked in various divisions including Internal Control, Process Engineering and Private Equity Group. As Head of the Private Equity Group, she was responsible for managing and investing the bank’s Small and Medium Industries Equity Investment Scheme (SMIEIS) funds. Prior to this, she had held various positions in Auditing and Consultancy at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Lagos. She is a certified SAP Consultant, an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN). She is the new Head, Internal Control and Audit Department of Oando Plc.

• Mr. Ope Adewale, a Strategist with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Sussex, England and a Postgraduate degree in Law (LLB) from the University of London. Prior to his appointment at Oando, He served as a Director/Marketing Analyst for the Financials team of West LB Panmure in London, a subsidiary of Germany’s Westdeutsche Landesbank. There, he worked with a team of other investment analysts who developed and marketed investment products to Clients in the UK and Europe. He is an Associate member of the professional body of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) and now serves as the Executive Assistant to the Managing Director of Oando.
