Ibironke Sokefun Group Legal Adviser, Oando PLC.

Ronke holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law - LL.B (Hons.) from Ogun State University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State and a B.L. (Hons.) from the Nigerian Law School, Lagos. She is also an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ACIS).

Her experience spans various sectors including oil & gas – upstream and downstream (oil services), telecommunications and special purpose vehicles (SPV). She started her career as a Trainee Solicitor /Barrister at M.P. Ohwovoriole (S.A.N.) & Co and from there went on to become the Company Secretary at Ighodalo & Associates Limited. She later joined the firm Messrs Aluko & Oyebode as an Associate in 1993 and rose to become a Partner in 2001. She then moved to Ocean & Oil Services Limited as pioneer Head, General/Management Services (which comprises legal, HR and administrative functions).

As the Group Legal Adviser, she oversees, initiates and co-ordinates all legal and statutory activities of the company. She also ensures Oando abides by all statutory laws guiding its businesses and organizes defense for litigations as applicable.
