Oboden Ibru Non-Executive Director

Oboden Ibru is the Executive Director, Oceanic Bank International (Nigeria) Limited; a position he assumed since April 2004. His duties include direct coordination and supervision of the DGM, Operations, the DGM, Development and Logistics, the AGM, Information and the Manager, Training and Human Resource Development amongst others.

Prior to this, he had held several positions in the organization including the posts of the Chief Operating Officer, the Assistant General Manager, Operations, the Senior Manager, Domestic Operations, the Manager, Treasury, Deputy Manager, Corporate Branch and the Deputy Manager, Treasury.

Oboden holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of San Francisco, S.F, California as well as a B.Sc. in Decision Sciences from the same University. He also has an MBA from the International Graduate School of Management (IESE) Navara, Spain.
He is member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and The Nigerian Economic Summit Group.

He also serves on the board of several institutions/ organizations, including Elf Oil Nigeria Limited (prior to the merger with Total), Aerocontractors Company of Nigeria Limited, Money Market Association of Nigeria and Minet Insurance Brokers.
