Oando Exploration and Production

First indigenous oil and gas company with participatory interest in producing deep offshore assets

Our audacious steps in the upstream sector were boosted with the acquisition of oil and gas oilfields by Oando Exploration and Production Limited (OEPL) during the Federal Government's oil blocks licensing rounds in 2005.

Oando is currently the operator of two oil blocks - OPL 278 and OPL 236. The company is also a Local Content Vehicle (LCV) partner with AGIP on OPL 282 and has a 45% non-operating participatory interest in a marginal field, Obodeti-Obodugwa (former OML 56). These fields are in different stages of development and will significantly increase Nigeria's oil and gas reserves.

In line with our growth strategy, we are also aggressively seeking investment in both exploratory and near-term production opportunities with a view to increasing our reserve base. We recently acquired interest in two deep offshore assets to significantly boost our portfolio.

OEPL's management team comprises seasoned professionals with over one hundred years of experience in all facets of Exploration and Production. We shall continue to advance our growth potential whilst building capacity and adhering to international EHSQ standards.
